Mackie has introduced the Thrashv2, its latest powered loudspeaker lineup designed to bring high-volume performance, rugged construction, and essential features to musicians, performers, and DIY audio setups.

The new series builds on Mackie’s experience in powered PA speakers, following the legacy of the SRM450, which helped define the category more than 25 years ago. Thrashv2 is designed as a straightforward powered loudspeaker that focuses on volume, sound quality, and ease of use.

The details: Thrashv2 uses a 1300W Class-D amplifier and is available in two configurations: the Thrash12v2, equipped with a 12-inch woofer, and the Thrash15v2, featuring a 15-inch woofer. Both models use a custom 1-inch compression driver for high-frequency reproduction.

The speakers feature a single combo input for microphone and line sources, while Bluetooth connectivity allows users to stream audio from a smartphone to up to two speakers simultaneously. A thru output also allows users to chain the signal, including Bluetooth audio, to additional speakers.

Built for different setups: Thrashv2 can be used as a PA system, stage monitor, or full-range, flat-response amplifier. The enclosure supports both vertical and horizontal positioning and includes a built-in pole mount with a tightening screw.

The speakers can be mounted on a T100 tripod or positioned above a Mackie subwoofer using the SPM400 speaker pole. Mackie-branded speaker bags are also available separately for transport and protection.

Four voicing modes: Users can choose between Flat, DJ, Live, and Wedge voicing modes to tailor the speaker’s sound to different applications.

The Thrashv2 also includes a Feedback Eliminator designed to automatically address microphone feedback. Both features are controlled through straightforward switches for easier setup and operation.

The Thrash12v2 has a MAP of $349.99, while the Thrash15v2 is priced at $399.99.

The T100 tripod, SPM400 speaker pole, and Thrashv2 speaker bags are sold separately.

The Bottom Line: The Thrashv2 lineup brings Mackie’s powered PA experience into a simpler package, combining 1300W Class-D amplification, Bluetooth connectivity, four voicing modes, feedback elimination, and flexible placement options for musicians, performers, and DIY audio setups.
