Fujifilm has announced a new addition to its mini-format cameras called the Instax Mini 11.
Among the key features of the newest camera is automatic exposure function, a first in the series. The camera automatically senses the level of ambient light when the shutter button is pressed and optimizes the shutter speed and flash output according to the condition.
There’s a new Selfie mode for those moments with friends and is activated by pulling the front edge of the lens after powering it on. It also enables the user to take close-up photos from 30cm to 50cm away.
Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 key specs:
- 2-component, 2-element lens; 1:12.7, f=60mm
- 1/2 to 1/250 sec programmed electronic shutter
- 0.3m shooting range (up to 0.5m on selfie mode)
- Lv 5.0 to 14.5 (ISO 800) automatic exposure
- Auto power-off (after 5mins)
- 90-second film development time
- Two AA-size alkaline batteries (LR6)
Fujifilm also took a more fashionable approach with the new camera. It also sports a redesigned housing, now sporting a lighter and thinner body for better ergonomics. The Mini 11 sports a rounded body design that fits perfectly in users’hands for added operability.
A different material component separates the lens border from the rest of the body, making it stand out more. The Instax logo is also engraved on the backside. The camera also has two replaceable accessories for the shutter button to change the button’s looks according to users’ preferences.
The new Mini 11 series comes in five pale tone colors (Blush Pink, Sky Blue, Charcoal Gray, Ice White, and Lilac Purple). These will arrive in a few months’ time, with prices yet to be announced.
