realme took off the wraps of the GT 2 Series in China, its first-ever premium flagship smartphone series.
The new smartphone is co-designed by award-winning designer and former MUJI collaborator, Naoto Fukusawa. The GT 2 Series features the world’s first bio-based eco-friendly polymer smartphone design, the Paper Tech Master Design. It offers a more sustainable alternative without compromising the smartphone’s overall aesthetic design and durability.
The realme GT 2 Series features a 2K Super Reality Display, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G CPU, a 150-degree ultra-wide-angle camera with fish-eye, and a 360-degree NFC for Bluetooth pairing and contactless payment.
“To be honest, for realme, which has only been established for three years, it is no less challenging to do a premium business than to start a new one,” shares realme’s Founder and CEO Sky Li at the virtual launch event, “Going premium is not just about shouting slogans or assigning sales tasks. We have encountered and will continue to encounter unprecedented challenges in terms of user insights, tech innovation, and brand building. But we are still quite confident as we are fully prepared,” adds Li.
There is no word yet on the local availability and pricing of the new realme GT 2 Series, so stay tuned for further details.
