Huawei may have launched the MatePad T8 last May, but it doesn’t stop them from releasing a new Kids Edition variant which is now in the country.
The more kid-friendly tablet comes with an edible silicone anti-shock case, which also offers a handle for easier portability. An attached stylus also lets kids do more creativity with the tablet, while Huawei’s own child-friendly content and management settings for kids’ digital activities are ported with the device.
In case the child grows up, you can simply remove the silicone sleeve and use it as a normal Huawei MatePad T8 tablet.

Hardware-wise, it isn’t much different from the MatePad T8 launched last May. It’s still capable of multitasking with its 2GB of RAM, MediaTek chip, and a 5,100mAh battery capacity. The Huawei MatePad T8 Kids Edition goes on sale in Huawei concept stores, authorized dealers, and online at Huawei Store, Lazada, and Shopee for PHP 8,999. The brand will also throw in freebies amounting to PHP 8,996 when you purchase the tablet from September 24 until October 1, 2021.
