LG launches xboom Power Series with AI-powered karaoke and up to 440W output

LG Electronics has introduced the LG xboom Power Series, a new flagship lineup of party speakers designed for gatherings ranging from family celebrations to large outdoor events. The series combines high-power audio with AI-powered karaoke, adaptive sound features, party lighting, and multi-speaker connectivity.

The lineup consists of the LG xboom Power 9000, Power 7000, and Power 5000, with each model designed for different gathering sizes and environments.

Why it matters: LG is positioning the xboom Power Series as more than a conventional party speaker lineup. Its focus on AI Karaoke Master, adaptive sound, interactive lighting, and shared playback is designed to make the speakers part of the entertainment itself.

All three models feature LG’s xboom Signature Sound, which LG says was refined and tuned by multiple Grammy Award-winning artist will.i.am to deliver strong bass and party-focused sound while maintaining clarity and balance.

The details: The flagship LG xboom Power 9000 is designed for large parties and outdoor events, delivering 440W of continuous output. It uses dual 10-inch woofers and dual 1-inch horn tweeters, with sound coverage of approximately 2,000 square meters, according to LG.

The Power 7000 is designed for large gatherings, patios, and outdoor entertainment. It delivers 340W of continuous output through a 10-inch woofer and dual 1-inch horn tweeters, with coverage of approximately 800 square meters.

For smaller gatherings, the Power 5000 delivers 260W of continuous output through an 8-inch woofer and dual 2-inch tweeters. LG positions it for family gatherings, casual celebrations, and other smaller social occasions, with approximately 400 square meters of sound coverage.

The speakers also feature interactive lighting and DJ effects. The Power 9000 has full-circle lighting with two strobe lights, while the Power 7000 has full-circle lighting with one strobe light. The Power 5000 also features full-circle lighting.

All three models include Smart Stands that can hold a smartphone or tablet for displaying lyrics. They also have dual microphone inputs, allowing two people to sing together for duets and group karaoke.

AI Karaoke Master is one of the main features across the lineup. AI Vocal Remover uses AI to remove vocals from existing music tracks, allowing users to turn songs from their own libraries into karaoke tracks without needing dedicated karaoke versions.

The Key Changer lets singers adjust the pitch of a song to better match their vocal range, while one-touch activation is designed to make karaoke setup quicker. LG says the system is designed to work with songs users already have rather than requiring special karaoke content.

The speakers also use AI Sound to analyze the music being played and adjust sound settings based on the genre. Space Calibration Pro adjusts the sound output based on the size and layout of the surrounding area, allowing the speakers to adapt to different indoor and outdoor environments.

Sound Field Enhance is designed to create a wider soundstage, while Auracast allows compatible LG xboom speakers to be connected for synchronized playback and expanded sound coverage.
