The realme Mobile Legends Cup (RMC), known as the country’s largest amateur Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament, is back for its 8th season, aiming to continue its tradition of fostering gaming legends. Registration is now open for teams eager to compete in the national esports arena and showcase their prowess in mobile gaming.
Last season, realme concluded Season 7 with a grand prize pool of one million pesos, crowning Z4 Esports Pegaxy and Smart Omega Empress as champions in their respective divisions. Notably, Smart Omega Empress made history as the first-ever champion of the RMC Women’s League.
Building on its success, realme elevated the stakes by becoming an official partner of the Philippine Esports Organization (PESO), enabling the winning team to qualify for the International Esports Federation World’s Esports Championship in Romania.
Season 8 promises to reach new heights with the introduction of the SM Cyberzone Challenger Series 2024 partnership, officially launching the season. The tournament invites all-male, all-female, or mixed-gender teams to compete for glory.
The action kicks off with on-ground qualifiers scheduled on May 25, 2024, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the SM North Edsa Annex Event Center. Teams will battle to secure spots in the quarter-finals bracket scheduled for June.
Attendees can also enjoy fun booth activities and meet Top MLBB Player John “H2WO” Salonga. Teams must consist of five players aged 15 and above, with minors requiring written consent from guardians during registration.
Players must adhere to a basic dress code of shirt or jersey, pants, and closed shoes for the playoffs. Sleeveless tops, shorts, and slippers are strictly prohibited on stage. Teams must be available on May 25, 2024, and willing to participate in scheduled qualifier matches.
