realme C100i Review: Endurance First

The realme C100i takes things much further by packing a massive 7,000mAh battery inside a surprisingly slim body, making battery endurance its biggest selling point from the moment you pick it up.

realme C100i Review: Design and Construction

The first thing that stands out about the realme C100i is how slim it feels, considering its battery size. At just 8.38mm thick, it doesn’t feel like the oversized battery brick you might expect from a 7,000mAh device. While 208g is not exactly lightweight, the weight distribution is balanced enough that the phone remains comfortable to use for extended periods.

The design itself is straightforward. The flat frame and large camera module give it a modern appearance, although it lacks the premium feel of devices using glass or metal materials. That’s not necessarily a criticism because realme clearly prioritized durability over luxury.

The phone comes with MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance and a claimed 2-meter drop resistance. Combined with its IP64 rating, the C100i feels like a device built to survive daily abuse from commuters, students, delivery riders, and outdoor workers.

Its design may not turn heads, but it inspires confidence.

realme C100i Review: Display and Audio

The 6.8-inch display is another area where realme focused on practicality. The 120Hz refresh rate immediately makes the phone feel smoother than many entry-level competitors. Scrolling through social media, navigating menus, and switching between apps all benefit from the higher refresh rate.

Brightness is also a pleasant surprise. During outdoor use, the panel remains readable even under direct sunlight, making it useful for navigation and messaging while outdoors.

Unfortunately, the display’s biggest weakness is impossible to ignore. The HD+ resolution feels dated on a screen this large. Text lacks the crispness found on Full HD displays, while videos and photos don’t look quite as detailed as they could. Casual users may not mind, but anyone coming from a Full HD smartphone will immediately notice the difference.

Audio performance is acceptable but unremarkable. The single speaker is loud enough for calls, videos, and navigation prompts, but it lacks depth and stereo separation. At maximum volume, some distortion becomes noticeable.

realme C100i Review: Camera

The camera setup is basic, and the results largely reflect that. The 8MP rear camera performs adequately under good lighting conditions. Colors are reasonably accurate, and detail is sufficient for social media uploads and messaging.

Likewise, the 5MP selfie camera gets the job done for video calls and casual selfies.

Realme attempts to enhance the experience through software features such as AI Eraser and AI Clear Face. These tools can be genuinely useful when editing photos directly on the phone, especially for casual users who want quick fixes without downloading third-party apps.

Once the sun goes down, however, the limitations become obvious. Low-light images quickly lose detail and introduce significant noise. Dynamic range is limited, and moving subjects can appear blurry.

Video recording is another weak area. Without stabilization, handheld footage tends to look shaky, making it difficult to produce smooth clips while walking.

For documentation and everyday snapshots, the cameras are sufficient. Just don’t expect them to compete with more expensive devices.

realme C100i Review: Performance

The realme C100i is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. For daily use, performance is surprisingly stable. Messaging apps, social media, web browsing, navigation, video streaming, and productivity tasks all run without major issues.

The lightweight nature of realme UI helps maintain responsiveness, and the software avoids feeling unnecessarily bloated. Several software additions also improve the overall experience. Features such as Air Gestures, AI Outdoor Mode, Dynamic Button customization, Circle to Search, and Google Gemini integration add extra functionality without feeling intrusive.

Gaming performance is where expectations need to be managed. Popular casual titles run well enough, but demanding 3D games require lower graphics settings to maintain smooth frame rates. The 4GB RAM configuration can also become limiting during heavier multitasking sessions, with background apps occasionally refreshing sooner than expected.

Most popular titles, such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, are playable at low to medium settings, while more graphically intensive games, such as Genshin Impact, definitely get that occasional lag and stutter when you run into jam-packed fights.

Connectivity is another strength. Cellular reception, Bluetooth, and WiFi remained reliable throughout testing, while GPS navigation locked onto locations quickly and accurately. The phone is capable, but clearly not built for serious gamers.

realme C100i Review: Battery

Battery life is where the realme C100i separates itself from much of the competition. The 7,000mAh battery is simply massive by today’s standards, and the results speak for themselves.

In our PCMark Battery Test, the realme C100i achieved an impressive 19 hours and 27 minutes. That’s one of the strongest battery results we’ve seen in this segment and comfortably supports the phone’s “One Charge, Endless Power” tagline.

Getting two full days of usage is easy with moderate use. Light users may even stretch battery life closer to three days before needing a charger. This makes the phone particularly appealing for users who travel frequently, spend long hours outdoors, or simply dislike worrying about battery percentages.

The inclusion of 6W reverse charging is also useful in emergencies. While not fast, it allows the phone to act as a power bank for accessories and other devices.

The tradeoff, unsurprisingly, is charging speed. With only 15W charging support, refilling a 7,000mAh battery takes patience. Users accustomed to modern fast-charging systems may find themselves waiting around two and a half hours to charge from 18% to 100%. Still, considering how infrequently the phone needs charging, many users may find the compromise acceptable.

The Rundown

The realme C100i is for people who prioritize battery life above almost everything else. Students, commuters, delivery riders, field workers, and travelers will appreciate its ability to keep running long after other phones need a charger. The added durability features also make it a practical option for users who are frequently outdoors.

However, users who prioritize gaming, photography, or multimedia consumption may find the compromises harder to accept. The HD+ display, basic cameras, and entry-level processor prevent the device from excelling beyond its intended purpose.

The realme C100i is set to be available with these SRPs: PHP 8,999 for 64GB, PHP 11,999 for 128GB, and PHP 13,999 for 256GB. You can preorder the realme C100i at realme stores and authorized dealers nationwide, as well as online at the official realme stores on Shopee (Click to BUY HERE), Lazada, and TikTok Shop, each with their own promotional offers in tow.
