DIZO is officially launching in the country, and one of its key offerings is the DIZO Watch 2 which aims to be a more affordable alternative to entry-level fitness bands and smartwatches already available in the country. See how it looks like with our hands-on below.

Inside the box contains the essentials including the watch itself, some documentation, and proprietary 2-pin charger for the device. You’ll be greeted with a QR code when you boot it for the first time, so you’ll have to download the DIZO app (iOS, Android), register an account, and scan the QR to connect it to your phone.
Once it’s connected, you can use it primarily as a timetelling piece with some features on the side. The front part has the 1.69-inch display, covered in glass, which is centered well against the bezels around it. When turned on, the display position doesn’t make the wearable look cheap.
The lone button is at the side, which functions as the device’s on or off button, and a back or return to home button when being used. The sides are seemingly made out of alumninum, hence the heftier (but still good) weight compared to a similar watch such as the realme Watch 2.
The back contains the heart rate sensor and blood oxygen monitor well-guarded in a glossy circular area at the middle part, and at the top are two pin receivers for the proprietary charger. The rest of the surface is a black matte plastic surface that isn’t that slippery.
You’re also treated to a 20mm classic free-sized strap that you can change with compatible ones available in the market. Changing the straps are easy as well. The stock strap, meanwhile, is amade of silicon rubber and doesn’t feel itchy even when worn after prolonged periods of time.
If you’ve connected the watch to the DIZO app, you’ll find yourself choosing among the 100+ available watch faces you can download and sync with the watch, as well as creating your custom one in-app. You can also receive notifications and call alerts, set device-only alarms as well as drinking and activity reminders, and treat yourself to assiatance with 15 sports modes available from the get-go. You can also use the device when swimming, as it features a 5ATM water resistance.
